The arson, another chapter of the crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in occupied Afrin

More than a month ago, the arsonist fires of the settlers, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries did not stop in separate areas of the occupied Afrin district. On June 5, 2020, the Turkish occupation army and mercenaries from its factions intentionally set fire to agricultural lands in the vicinity of the village of Gia of the Raju district and the neighboring villages up to the village of Kubak and Afraz, in addition to the forest on the northern side of Mount Hawar. These fires continued for more than four days, causing great damage, as a large part of the forest and more than three thousand olive trees belonging to the people of Jia village were burned. According to the human rights organization in Afrin, one of the fires broke out in the areas near one of the military points of the Turkish occupation army, where civilians are prevented from approaching their lands in those areas. This is further evidence that these fires are deliberate by the elements of the Turkish occupation army, especially since they have not taken any measures to extinguish them. In a related context, another fire broke out near the villages of Maidana on June 3, 2020, as fire broke out on large forests in the area. Another fire was ignited in late May in a forest near the village of Tetra, in the district of Jandarisah, and lasted for three days.
