A Turkish plane killed his brother and cut his leg and wounded his mother
His brother was killed and he and his mother were wounded in an air strike on a Turkish aircraft in Mahmudiya district in Afrin on March 14, during Turkish forces’ attacks with opposition groups in city of Afrin. The attacks that killed at least 350 civilians and injured more than 1,000, and displaced about 350 thousand.
While child Abdo Kalu and his family were in their house in Mahmudiya neighborhood in Afrin city, on March 14 of this year, a Turkish military aircraft bombed their house. The bombing killed 17-year-old Ahmed and his mother.
At that moment, the family was trying to get out of house and go to one of cellars in the city to take shelter from shelling. However, it did not have time to reach a safe place. The plane bombed and destroyed house and turned it into rubble. Abdo Kalu was injured in his right foot and several shrapnel Which resulted in amputation of lower part of his foot later and his mother Fatima Omar was wounded by shrapnel in head and forehead and his brother Ahmed Kalo, who was 17 years old.
Three remained under rubble for a while until parents came to rescue them. Abdo was treated to hospitals in Aleppo for treatment, and the lower part of his right leg was amputated. His mother was treated in Afrin.
“We were at home when we heard sound of airplanes bombing a very close area. We went out to see that plane was flying in sky and shelling neighborhood. Then we wanted to go to cellars in the city to take shelter from bombing of the plane, but we did not have enough time. The plane bombed our house, which became a pile and we remained under rubble, then it was unconscious. ”
“When plane bombed, I was not at home, but when I arrived I saw that the house was completely destroyed by bombing of Turkish army. I rushed with residents of the neighborhood to save my family, but my son Ahmed was killed and my wife and Abdo were injured, We have been helping them. ”
The family is now living in Tal Qarah village, which is related to Hades town in Shahba.
