Turkish border guards wounded a young man from the town of Tel al-Abyad, north of al-Raqqa, as he went to plow his land near the Turkish border.

Medical sources said that 25-year-old Bassem Khalaf al-‘Ali, who was working in his land in the Al-Manbatah neighborhood of Tel al-Abyad city, was hit by a Turkish gendarme through snipers, injuring his right foot and he was taken to National Hospital in the city.

At the beginning of the year, the Turkish army targeted dozens of villages along the border with Syria, causing dozens of civilian casualties. Turkish gendarmerie also hinders farmers from accessing their land and orchards near the border area, where they are shot with live ammunition.
