Forcing Afrin residents to leave their homes to settle Idlib IDPs

Members of “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” faction loyal to the Turkish armed forces raided Kukan Fawqani and Kokan Tahtani villages in Ma’abata area in Afrin and forced the residents go out of their homes to settle families from outside Afrin.

During incursion, armed elements beat seventy-year-old ‘Abdo Youssef and’ Omar Jamil, 70 years old in village square after they refused to leave their house and heavy gunfire was fired into air to intimidate the citizens, mayor Muhammad Hamo house was vandalized after he refused to evacuate his house.

The violations were not limited to Kokan Vuqani and Subahti villages, but Dar Kabbah villages in Ma’abata area was also located in Afrin. Local sources confirmed that the gunmen kidnapped two people from the village and threatened Sheikh Jamil and Aliko, owner of the village’s olives factory to evacuate their homes.

In a related context, a member of “Ahrar al-Sham” faction loyal to the Turkish forces called “Abu Sha’aban,” looted pomegranate crop in , “Qrzihl” village Afrin city , using the weapon against 3 farmers in the fields, with confiscation of a crop (2000) Three days ago.
