The General Command of the Syriac Military Council called for the International Coalition to guarantee the security and protection of the components of North and East Syria, and that during a statement.
The General Command of the Syriac Military Council issued on Thursday a statement to the public opinion, calling for the International Coalition to protect the components of North and East Syria.
The statement included,
“The Syriac Military Council in Syria called for our partners in the International Coalition to ensure the security and protection of the components that live in North and East Syria.
IS is still a great threat, and IS mercenaries and al-Qaeda backed by Turkey are waiting for the green light to move against northeast of Syria to be able to kill all those who they consider blasphemers in the region. This means that the Christians, Yazidi Kurds and all other components will be killed.
Since 2013, the Syriac Military Council has actively fought to protect the Christians from the extremists in al-Hasakah. We have joined the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the fight against IS, and we have sacrificed many martyrs.
We believe that it is our duty to stand with our Arab and Kurdish brothers and sisters to fight together and resist all kinds of radical religious terrorism and other invaders.
We thank the United States and the International Coalition for their support in the fight against IS. We, the Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Yezidis, Armenians and Turkmens hope that they will not leave us suddenly.
The results of the invasion of Afrin showed us what would happen to us. Churches would be destroyed, and the Christians and Yezidis whom the mercenaries call the infidels would be killed and slaughtered.
Turkey threatens to kill soldiers of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the allies of the International Coalition against IS. The free women of all ethnicities would be raped and enslaved. Do not abandon us on the battlefield and allow our people to be killed by the Turkish state.
Despite the strength of SDF, we cannot protect ourselves from the Turkish air strikes. We need the presence and support of the International Coalition, the EU member states and the United Nations, and they must spare us from another war and other massacres by the Turkish state. In the end, we will end up IS’ presence in our region.
We also demand the International Coalition and NATO to reject the plans of the Turkish state or any other foreign country in the region to enter the borders of northeastern Syria that have been already secured against the terrorists.
Our forces are stationed in the front lines along with the International Coalition Forces such as France and the United Kingdom. We would be able to put an end to fascism, radicalism and dictatorship.
We owe a debt for our martyrs. Our martyrs who sacrificed their lives to preserve the Syrian religions and cultures that have suffered for thousands of years and to remove the scourge of IS from the world.
Now, it is time for Western Christian countries, Christian churches and believers all over the world to protect our Christian people in northeast of Syria from becoming victims of brutal, dictatorial, fascist and radical battle.”
