A decision to stop the activity of second media in control factions area of Turkish north of Syria

Al-Qasimiya Court of Supreme Judicial Council, west of Aleppo, north of Syria, banned the activity of the Syrian news agency “Khatwa” and issued a decision to stop its activity or deal with it.

This came against background of a video broadcast by agency “Khatwa” calling for tolerance and non-reprisals in Syria, which was criticized by activists and local actors and considered it an invitation to “reconciliation” with the Syrian regime.

According to the statement, decision was based on an allegation from executive Office of Aleppo and its countryside Media Union Affairs and explanations of Public Prosecution in the court and that offense relates to “the principles of Syrian revolution and its objectives.”

Last July, several cities and towns in Aleppo prevented Syria from operating because it broadcast news and reports revealing violations by Syrian factions that control Turkish cities in northern Syria.
