The Violations Documentation Center in Northern Syria (VDC-Nsy) has revealed through monitoring reports the increasing rates of violence, crime, arrest and kidnapping in Afrin area and all areas controlled by the Turkish armed forces in northern Syria.
The Center said in its statement that Turkish forces and Syrian militias supported by them continue to commit further violations and do not heed the calls made by the Center to stop daily raids, arrest and kidnap citizens to get ransom, prevent their relatives from knowing the place of detention or reasons of detention, and refuse to put them on trial and prevent them from getting a lawyer.
From 1th September to 11th September, Afrin region witnessed the arrest of 48 people, we were able to authenticate only the names of 48 of them, but the number is bigger because there are many names their family did not want to mention in addition to many arrest cases we could not manage to get their names.
