On Friday, The Jaysh al-Sharqiah of the Free Syrian Army exchanged gunfire with the Jaysh al-Islam in the city of Afrin, 42 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria. The shooting killed and injured six fighters from both parties.
Local activists reported a weapon store owner, who works with the Jaysh al-Islam, exchanged gunfire with his relatives, who work with the Jaysh al-Sharqiah, in the al-Falat neighborhood in Afrin.
The activists added that the gunfire between both parties killed the store owner and injured three from the Jaysh al-Islam and two other fighters from the Jaysh al-Sharqiah.
The activists exchanged a video taken from an observation camera in the neighborhood showing that gunfire from inside the weapon store killed the man and injured the fighters.
On Nov. 6, 2018, clashes between the Jaysh al-Islam and a group from the Ahrar al-Sharqiah Gathering killed a fighter from the Gathering in Afrin.
Clashes between several factions, such as Ahrar al-Sharqiah, al-Hamzah Troop, Sultan Murad Division, al-Shamiah Front, and Soleman Shah Legion, have recently occurred in the Afrin area, killing and injuring many people.
