The leader of Al sham Liberation Organization” / Front Nasra al-Qaeda branch in the Levant, Abu Muhammad al-Julani, his support for the Turkish plan to go to the invasion of East Euphrates, in a statement coinciding with preparation of Ankara to start a military operation, al-Julani responded to a Turkish request to participate in the battles of East Euphrates against people protection units and the Syrian democratic forces.
The former body’s response was revealed by sources close to it on 10 November 2018 and was rejecting any form of participation in these battles, considering them distracting from their battles against regime and Russia.
In a recent appearance yesterday, al-Julani said, “We are in the process of liberalizing East Euphrates region.”
In the meeting, al-Julani repeated the official Kurdish narrative that “the PKK is an enemy of the revolution and occupies the areas inhabited by a large number of Sunni Arabs” and that “sees the need to remove this party,” explaining, “We cannot hinder this work.”
Al-Julani is considered as first of its kind after the expansion of ” Sham Liberation ” in Idlib province and the western Aleppo countryside, at expense of factions, ” National Liberation Front,” which comes to flirt with Turkey, which held several meetings recently with a view to maintaining Idlib and demilitarized zone, that the Commission was able to defeat the factions loyal to Ankara, which put the latter in an embarrassing position in front of Russia and Iran, in light of escalation by the Syrian government and calls for the restoration of the city, which suffers control of terrorist factions affiliated with Al Qaeda,
And coincides with talk about the fate of Idlib province in the coming days, and the arrival of reinforcements from the Turkish army to the state of Hatay bordering Idlib from the north.
It agreed to the Sochi agreement last October, but in a different way, with much of its terminology changed and replaced by a move to appease currents at home and to clarify the new policy abroad.
The main point referred to by the “Liberation of the Sham” in a statement to the Sochi Agreement was the indirect thanks to Turkey, which is the main party to the agreement signed in Sochi with Russia.
“We appreciate the efforts of all those who seek at home and abroad to protect liberated areas and prevent their invasion and massacres,” the agency said, warning against “evading the Russian occupier or trusting his intentions.”
