Since armed factions and the Turkish forces entered Afrin on 18 March, raids, kidnappings and torture of detainees in prisons targeting Afrin residents have not stopped civilians from women, children and men, with aim of extorting families and demanding ransom.
Sources from Afrin center reported that there are about 54 factions of the armed forces of the Turkish forces in Afrin, stressing that the kidnappings and torture continue, so that the person is kidnapped several times by different factions, motivated by extortion and payment of money to them.
On other hand, a citizen who preferred not to be named, was kidnapped by the Turkish forces factions on different charges, in Damlia village, like thousands of Afrin people who are now in the factions prisons and subjected to torture and murder and robbery, the details of important and exciting happening in prisons and in particular managed by elements of Sultan Murad.
The citizen was kidnapped by members of Al-Hamzat Brigade with dozens of citizens. They blindfolded them and took them to an underground prison they could not identify.
The citizen said that after days of his stay in cellar underground, sold them elements of Hamzat division to Sultan Murad elements, at prices varying from $ 2000 and above.
“Our basement was a prison where more than 1,000 citizens and citizens lived. They sold me with 179 citizens to Sultan Murad elements. We had children with us at age of 12-16 , again we blindfolded and did not see where we were taken. After we arrived they told us that we were in Turkish territory, “within six months.
“The women are being tortured by Al sultan Murad faction elements in prison, while I was in a prison of Hamzat division , two women were set fire to their bodies with a lighter,” he said.
The citizen mentioned some of the types of torture used by prison inmates, such as: “hanging the detainee in a room through a rope and subjected to torture, electric shock, nail cutting, ear cutting with knife, dissolving nylon on the bodies of abductees to burn it, pouring boiled water over bodies of abductors, put water at mouth of abductor to cut breath. ”
“The gunmen were entering prison cells and randomly selecting the abductees to torture them,” he said.
On other hand, the citizen said that jailers were given a piece of bread to each abductor every 24 hours. “There is no treatment for the wounded in the prisons, every 45 abductees are placed in a very small room.” One person was dead in prison that related to Al hamzat division ” Another person from of Khalilku village was killed during torture and another was killed after being seriously injured. “
