The Syrian factions affiliated with Turkey removed the identification plates in a number of main monuments in the city of Afrin and its surroundings. In addition to removing the identification plates of village names and the entrance to the city of Afrin And replace them with other identification plates. Some of which include the writings of Turkey and the flag of Turkey and changing the old names with new names.
Newroz roundabout was changed to the Salah al-Din roundabout and the National Square was renamed the roundabout of the Olive Branch and Kawa square was changed to the Martyrs’ of 18 March roundabout.
