Turkey stepped up its hostile operations against areas controlled by the People’s Protection Units and the Syrian Democratic Forces in northern Syria, escalating bombardment of Kobani and Tall Abyad cities.
On October 28, the Turkish army shelled the villages of Zormgar, Jarqli, Siftak and Ashmeh, west of Kobani city in Aleppo with mortars and tanks, killing one member of guard forces and injuring others two.
On October 30, the Turkish army targeted Tall Abyad gate at around 21.00 o’clock , with BKM weapons, killing a recruiter and injuring two others.
On October 31, Turkish forces returned to target areas in west of Tall Abyad with heavy weapons. They also shelled of Salim and Kur Ali and Ashmeh villages in western Kobani with heavy weapons, injuring six civilians. The Syrian Democratic Forces retaliated and damaged a Turkish armored vehicle. The Turkish army targeted Sleib Qaran villages, east of Kobani, using machineguns.
Turkish shelling left dozens of civilians, mostly women and children from border villages in the western countryside of Kobani.
